Does your bike (or bikes) have a name? If so, what is it?

My Marin East Peak all mountain, full suspension is named Bob. Bob is sturdy and true, a bit heavy at 32.5 ponds, but man can he take a hit. He does not balk at mud, or snow, or rain, and can handle a gnarly downhill like nobody's business.

Last fall, along came Gidget. Gidget is my new Titus Racer X. She is little and fiesty, lite and fast and nimble. She does not like mud too much, but she climbs like a ibex.

There was a bit of jealousy on Bob part at first, but now they seem to be getting along. As a matter of fact, I think that they are making eyes at each other in the garage.

Maybe we will be expecting some tricycles in the fall.

I love' em both and the funny part is the guys that we mt bike with call them by name!

My new Cannondale is Miranda. She is a little spitfire much like my favorite Sex in the City character and also a Texas singer I love, both named Miranda.

My former bike was Fiona. She was a pain in the rear but her intentions were good, much like Fiona in Shrek.

My bike is Dynah but I never call her that. I've never managed to really be able to call my inamimate (sp?) objects by names, as much as I've tried! One of my closest friends in high school had an old green station wagon that her family had always called The Green Demon, so I've always loved the idea of naming things, but alas, the names don't stick!

I've been waiting for my new (since feb) bike to tell me her name, but she hasn't done it. I suspect she is really a boy and I'm just not hearing his name...

My bikes don't use their names for some reason...but my MINI does. He goes by Henry.

Seriously, I've tried naming all my bikes (one even named herself) but they just don't seem to stick.

Hey! I drive a MINI too! Her name is Moneypenny. Mostly because she has a navigation system that keeps me going in the right direction.

I will be the first to admit I'm not very creative or original. My little blue Univega Grand Turismo that I purchased some twenty years ago is know simply as "my little blue bike." I love my little blue bike!

My purple Giro 20 has no name. I guess I just do not have enough time on her to give her a name. I do sometime refer to her as "my purple bike" but that is it. I simply want to be able to ride her but due to a lower back injury I've had to stay off this bike (a result of improper fitting - does anyone know of someone who can fit a recumbent?) My back is feeling much better so I'm hoping this weekend BF and I can work on getting her to fit my short legs. I really do want to ride her again and soon.

My bike's name is Nathan. When I take him in for any work at my LBS my mechanic friend always calls him by his name.

Since my new bike will be a WSD her name is Natalie. I had to go visit her when the frame came in last week. Maybe she'll be built up by the time the weather turns more pleasant around here.

I also used to be a MINI owner. I miss my "Nigel" quite a bit. He was more fun than any other car I ever owned.

My Giant OCR3's name is Blue. Not very creative since it is blue and black, but there's something about him that's calm but fun at the same time (yeah, my bike has characteristics).
My older white giant doesn't have a name yet. I'm stuck between Miranda or Kenny. I went to school with a girl named Kenny, she had electric blonde hair and was very expressive and opinionated. Older giant is white and has bright pink and aqua blue accents.

I call my bike Lady. At first I didn't call her anything, but then everytime I referred to her, Lady slipped out so now I just end up calling her that.

My Bianchi She bike is named Celeste...that is her color and her name. May be kind of lame; but it seemed to fit her. And it's a pretty name for a pretty bike.
I just keep telling myself..."I am the Tortise; slow and steady finishes the race." I am the Tortise, coo coo ca choo.
