    Another introduction

Hi. I wanted to introduce myself as well. I live in Arizona and although I'm not new to riding, I am new to racing (this will be my first racing season). I'm riding a Seven Alaris ti and I'm the only female member on my team right now.

I just (almost) finished my first crit on Saturday and I'm hooked... I'll be riding in cat 4 crits and road races this season, so, any tips, hints, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

WElcome to TE, see if you can find the "introducing yourself" thread, in "new riders" and answer all the questions, we're curious about you.

I hope you find a wealth of information here on TE.

Where do you live in Arizona? Down south? The Summit Velo Team in Tucson has a big women's team if you are looking for ladies to ride with and give you some help. Team One in Phoenix used to have several older racer women who would help you also. I live in Flagstaff up north.

I'm in Tucson. I saw the Summit Velo women at the criterium this weekend. They have some great riders.

If you are in Flagstaff, are you coming down to Phoenix for the AZ state championship criterium?

No, sorry, I gave up racing road a couple of years ago. Just don't have the will to train anymore especially when the best part of the season is so early in Arizona when the roads are icy and cold up here. I'm just riding and playing tennis. Besides, I'm better at mountain biking (and who would have ever thought I'd say that! Wow)

Remember most of those Summit Velo riders just started to race a year or two ago so don't be intimidated. They are very nice and welcoming. If you come up for any of the races in Flagstaff (some of them are pretty tought and hilly) I'll probably be working the races. I usually help out. Give me a pm if you are and I'll make sure to find you. Also, if you ever want to get out fo the heat and want to ride up here in Flag, give me a pm. I'm usually up for a ride.
