    Oh, wow!
Do you bring back memories! I cycled from Seattle to San Fransisco in 1980
    Best of luck!

    Thanks

Thanks for the best wishes. I am very excited! Do you have any suggestions for the voyage??

I just bought a Cannondale R500 road bike yesterday. I am now trying to decide if I should get a bob trailer or what to do for bringing my gear. I decided agaisnt a touring bike because I want to do triathalons when I get back. What do you use?

I've toured with both panniers (Pacific Coast) and a bob trailer (Nova Scotia). At first I really preferred the panniers, but i eventually got used to the trailer. Descents were a little squirrelly with it.

Would you consider having a man along on the trip? My husband is Australian and has to go back in July for awhile, he has been talking about doing the same thing- riding south and flying out of L.A. He is an avid cycletourist- but don't worry about speed, he likes to look as he rides and I'm often ahead of him. You'de want to take care of the cooking- as he only cooks pasta- but he is a great bike mechanic. I wouldn't be able to go due to work, but I know that he'd love it.
