Gee, Knot, now you've met my whole family! I felt bad today because I couldn't just hang back with you. Three is a slightly tough number of riders because there's always one out. But maybe I made some brownie points with my son because I kept Megan occupied while he went car hunting (unsuccessfully again).

I had leftovers for lunch AND dinner. now off to do some house chores

Knott - have you ever thought of changing careers to become a private GF chef. I'd hire you if I could afford you. Especially on IM years. I'd love to have someone cooking for me everyday. DH is not so adept in the kitchen I'm afraid and I'm too picky to let him learn by experience.

Aggie, you should see our yard. I don't have enough energy to take care of this, let alone someone else's yard!! Nope, didn't get on my bike, but DH took his new carbon fibre road bike around the block a few times. You should have seen his grin when he got home! I guess tomorrow we'll have to decide which bikes to take. I'm voting for mountain! That's where my heart really is.

Yesterday I drove up to Intervale, NH and got my feet measured for custom Limmer boots. I've been on the waiting list for 4 years, and now I'll have boots in 6-8 weeks! Though it will probably be 2-3 months after that before I can hike in them. After the boot fitting dh and I did a hike up a small mountain with nice views. Then we went to REI and spent some dividend money to get our 20% off. I got Crocs shoes with instep and heel straps that should work for stream crossings, and he got winter boots.

How exciting! You must feel really special. (I would if it was me. I got a day-pack custom made a few years ago and I felt just so amazing (and still do) knowing it was made for me to my specifications (retro 70's teardrop, no black, light coloured lining, simple and therefore flexible with no funny pockets designed especially for and so only fit one model of mobile phone... you get the idea)

I'm thinking about getting my coaching certification and starting up a multisport coaching co. Maybe Knott and I could hook something up so that we include nutritional services etc.

Better yet!! I could run a triathlete retreat/camp out here in the lovely Columbia River Gorge, Knott could teach core classes and do all the cooking in my new house with my new 36" range/stove complete with indoor grill.

I think I'm having a brainstorm. Batten down the hatches!!

Need an Aikido instructor who used to be a souse chef? I know, Aikido is not a part of tri but .... could teach 'em how to take a good survivable fall.

I'm an 8 to 9 hr drive from KG and LBTC. I have 2 big guest rooms and multiple potential tent sites on the lot, with an outdoor shower.

Martial arts/triathlon retreat. Could work. I think Knott would definitely need a sous chef. What's really cool is that I'm kinda sorta equadistant for the 4 of you. Of course I haven't heard anything from Knott. We could be volunteering her for something she may not want to do.
