    You'll do awesome Denise!

The anxiety will pass, breathe deep... you'll hit that water calm, cool and collected.. you''ll get into your rhythm, the miles will start melting away... and then you'll kick some serious butt!

And the perfect jersey is out there, waiting patiently for you... you'll find it!

Denise, I hear you about the sizing!!! It makes me very frustrated that I have had to buy men's cycling clothes in the past. But keep looking -- there are so many more options now and I know you'll find the right jersey to inspire you.

As for the swim, I hear you there, too. But I know that you can do it. And you'll have all of TE cheering you on. (Make sure to post your race number again when it gets closer ... I'm forgetful!)

"Keep plugging along. The finish line is getting closer with every step. When you see it, you won't remember that you are hurting, that anything has gone wrong, or just how slow or fast you are.
You will just know that you are going to finish and that was what you set out to do."

    Thumbs up

Denise - you're already there. You will swim fine. By virtue of the fact that this is not your first time in a mass swim, you're guaranteed to do better this year. You've trained enough that your body has not fogotten what a marathon is and as you said, your cycling will rock and that's where you can make up the most time. AND, you'll have better nutrition this time round.

Hang in there. Taper is tough but just keep that mantra going, "you've done it before, you'll do it again."

Freaking out is not an option. You are going to do great. Like Yoda said, your body will know what to do and you have another year of experience and of training banked.

We will all be with you pulling you along, every step of the way....

    You can so do this!
