Hi ladies - glad to hear everyone is still losing, maintaining, or at least not gaining much. BMO - wow you've done well is 5 weeks! I'd be at my goal in 2 weeks if I could lose that fast.

I am afraid to weigh in tomorrow morning after a week of eating in restaurants and drinking wine, and snacking, and no exercise other than a 5 km hike in the rainforest. I am sure I've gained, hopefully only 2 lbs at the most. Crossing my fingers.... Tomorrow I start reining it in, and Monday I'm back on the wagon again until these last pounds are gone. The good news is that the weather has turned and I can start riding more often now.

And I bought a new long sleeved jersey and a nice wind breaker jacket at MECC today!

Thanks everyone, it was the worst pain I've ever felt and some of the nurses that had babies and kidneys stones did agree that they'd have a baby over stones.

The up side is that I am completely addicted to soda and I know it will greatly help weight loss if I can stop drinking, but just couldn't do it. But the doctor believes the soda is one of the main reasons for my kidney stones. So I have been soda free for six days (admittedly I had no food for four of those days, but hey it should count).

KW, rainforest walk sounds wonderful! ENJOY!!

I wish, but thank you for the kind words In all actuality took 6 months of being stuck in a plateau before the scale or meassurements budged. So it was not actually a fast loss, which is good. Slow is a good way to lose, I would have preferred a slighly faster method than a 6 month plateau. All told, it took 7 months, just nothing happened for the first 6 months. *sigh*

I am 5 pounds away from my goal. Those will take even longer since the last few are usually the most difficult to get off (or so I have heard). I imagine it will be some time before I get the last 5 pounds off and even longer to gain the lean muscle mass I want. But it is worth it. I am in this for life, so no rush on my part.

You were on your honeymoon, cut yourself some slack. You deserve it. Glad to see you back with us.
