I'm up 1lb, but I'm OK with it. It was a week of SOME undisciplined eating, and limited opportunity for exercise. With a week like that, if I only gain a pound, I'm doing something else right....

    Here's what's tripping me up.

I want to ride my bike instead of walk on the treadmill. Riding my bike is weather dependent. It's chilly in the mornings right now, but lovely in the afternoons. If I don't do my exercise in the mornings, then by the end of the day I've got busy doing other things and forget to ride.

I only rode twice this week, but they were good hard rides. I forgot to lift weights, on Friday.

The time change is messing with me, too...it's still dark at SEVEN am. :P

This week I'm traveling, and taking my bike with me. But it's supposed to rain...I'm sure I'll find a way to ride at least once, but the treadmill in the hotel will be available all the time. So that's the plan. Every morning, either a walk or a ride. Of course, I'll be eating out a lot, so that will be a challenge.

    Wish me luck!

Wahoo - dropped 3 pounds and I'm back down to 150. I drank WAY too much this weekend (company party and out the night before) which I rarely do so those empty calories won't be logged this week. Total loss this year is 5 pounds and 7.5 inches.

I did my first brick this weekend doing a mock duathlon (5K run, 20 mile bike, 1 mile run), and even though I don't have the shin splints under control, I know I can complete the duathlon. Now I have 7 weeks to shave 10 minutes off my total time

And you heard it here folks. Come hell or high water, I WILL go below the 150 barrier this week if it kills me (man, I really hope it doesn't kill me...)

The wedding is today! (So what am I doing online? )

I weighed in at 121.5 this morning but I've been around 120.5 for the past 3-4 days so that's what I'm going with. Who knows what I'll be this time next week after a few days of undisciplined eating.

Have a good week everyone - I know I will!

    So far so good

Well it has been 5 weeks since I decided to begin this journey (thanks to everyone for the inspiration!). I increased my food, decreased my exercise to 7 hours per week (a medical compromise my neuro and I came to) and I have energy and the results are good.

For this week: I lost another pound (I am close to goal so from here on I do not expect to see any losses higher than a pound). I shed 2 1/4 inches this week which thills me.

In the past 5 weeks (In case someone is keeping an overall count): I have shed 14 unwanted pounds, 10 3/4", and over 3% body fat (yay me!)

Oh, my all time favourite number-since I changed my lifestyle 2 years ago, my resting heart rate went from 99 to (drum roll....) 50!!!

Keep up the good work everyone.

KG-have a wonderful time, enjoy yourself!

I have pretty much stayed stable this week, but had several dinners out, which always screws me up some. The good news is that I went shopping today and though I didn't buy anything, I tried on several size 12 pants and shorts, and THEY FIT and a couple were even baggy!!!! WhooooHoooo! It has motivated me to keep on going, and though I walked four miles with my friend this morning, I still went to the gym tonight---I feel like I am on a roll!!

Sounds like everyone is doing pretty good! Yay!

I haven't braved the scale today. But I was almost able to get into my Calvin Klein jeans this morning--that was good. Actually, I could get them on, but I couldn't bend over

I've been eating a lot better after a few days of celebrating birthdays and the start of the riding season. I made a huge orzo and spinach salad that I've been munching all week--it's helped keep my snacking and bingind down a lot.

I had my body composition done at a health expo earlier this week. They told me how hydrated I was, how much of my weight is fat and how much was bones and organs. It was neat. My BMI is 28. I'm goint to work so hard to get it down to 24. 15 lbs is all I need--I can do it! Dh had his composition done too, his % body fat was 8.9!!!!! Sheesh! He's all muscle. And really sexy. I love him
