Thank you everyone for your input. The good news is that I found a set of Mavic Ksyrium Elites on eBay for $350. The great news is that my LBS agreed to match the price! Woo hoo!

More about the bike... she's an RS-14 frame in emerald green. I can't wait to meet her!

Sounds like a lovely bike! I put Mavic Kysrium Elites on the Aegis Swift I had built up in 2004 (Campy Chorus - love it), and I have been very happy with them. No, they're not hand-built, but they're light and nice looking, perform well too. No complaints here! I also put on a compact crankset (FSA, Campy didn't make them then) and a Terry Butterfly with ti-rails, so we have some things in common. Enjoy your new ride and post pictures when you get her!
