    But, of course I'm right !

    I've been known to go 3 mph on hills. The way I see it, as long as you maintain enough forward momentum not to tip over, you're doing fine.

    Keep at it and you'll be rewarded. Ask my riding buddies, they'll tell you. I go way faster up hills than I used to. Heck, sometimes I even break 5 mph !

    I better re-adjust my goals for March. Let's put the climbing goal at 21,000 feet. But I am at over 11,000 right now and looking at my plans for the rest of the month it seems realistic.

    And I think I can go 2.5 mph and not fall over. We should have a contest as to who can go slowest uphill. Of course, I suppose a trackstand would win.

    Thumbs up vroom-vroom!

    Hey Starfish, I clocked a rip-roaring 2.4 mph on the steep part of Mt. Diablo on Saturday! But I made it to the top, booyah.

    Lordy, I'm up to about 20,000 feet of climbing so far this month.

    And yet, Saturday on Mt. Diablo and Sunday over Palomares and Redwood Road, I was still being utterly smoked by people who have been riding a fraction of what I have. No fair!! {pout}

    But 'ees OK, I'm pretty happy with what I've been doing. I just like to whine.

    Are you talking about me, Jo? I can't help it if my piano legs are freakishly strong.

    You and your freakishly strong legs were bad enough, but your husband was even more annoying ! He hasn't ridden diddly, yet he bombs up Diablo and the next day he bombs up Palomares and the beloved "hill that goes on freakin' forever" parts 1 and 2. s'no fair !
