Best socks and gloves for mild winter and fall/autumn

Am just planning ahead a bit as it is well and truely still summer here. But, what socks and gloves would you recommend for early morning (dawn) cycling in Winter and Autumn? It does not get too cold here (around 10degC/50degF) but can be a bit chilly when riding at speed

I use PI full finger gloves (I think they are an older version of these)

I have some lobster gloves but only use them when its super cold.

As for socks unless its really cold I just wear my Summer socks. If you feel the cold you could try some light weight wool socks. I really like Smartwool socks for Winter.

I discovered ski socks this year. I like them because they are long, come in different weights and colors and come in wool.

I bought 2 pair of smartwool lightweight ski socks that I wear all the time.

I prefer SmartWool socks. For my hands, in those temps, I prefer either Under Armour gloves or SmartWool.

Well, this morning it was about 50 degrees F when I took off, and I made a mental note of what I was wearing. So, from top to bottom:

Head: Helmet, no helmet cover, no headband.

Torso: Wicking T-shirt, the Ugliest Shirt In The Word(TM) in cotton (otherwise known as the work uniform) - 3/4 sleeves.

    Hands: Fingerless gloves.

    Legs: Warm-up pants

Feet: Ordinary dress socks, biking shoes.

I was a bit cool on the way to work, but comfy. All I did when I got there was change out my pants & shoes and off I went.

Now, I can take more cold than most, so you might want full-finger gloves and warmer (wool?) socks, but really, 50F is cool, but it isn't cold. You don't need your "Arctic Expotition Wear" for cool weather. Just one more (light) layer is all that is needed.
