    Cycle Oregon?

    Women of TE:
Are any of you planning to ride the week-long Cycle Oregon in September?
I can't get my friends to commit to signing up and the ride is selling out! It'll be strenuous (for me, anyway), but it really does look like "the best ride in America" and this year includes a ride up to or around spectacular Crater Lake. I'd love to be part of a group training for this together. Anyone else?

Hi there! We haven't heard from you in a while.

There is a group talking over on www.bikejournal.com. If you haven't hung out there, you should know that it is a family-friendly forum and you don't get the forum type behavior. It's a co-ed TE courtesy-wise.

A group of my friends are signed up and I thought why not I'll do it to but the "porter" service is all sold out. I'm not that much of a camper to begin with and I can't see setting up my tent etc each night. Drats!

Has anyone done this before. Is it worth the investment in money? (Plus I have to find a tent and sleeping bag?). Let me know cause I gues I need to make a decision soon.

Setting up the tent is a breeze, much easier than changing a tire.

I've seen you can arrange motels somehow though, no? That's always an option I guess.

Haven't done it but it looks great. Very similar to a tour I've done in Quebec twice; I wouldn't be surprised the Quebec one (in its 14th year I think) was inspired by the Oregon one (20th), there are lots of similarities.
