Wore my SLEEVELESS jersey today...

Yep, it was 81 degrees, so I donned my sleeveless jersey for a nice ride in the warm sun..... (ducks as people from back east throw things at her)....

I KNEW there was a reason why I moved to Phoenix!! (aka the surface of the sun)....

Hi Running Mommy: Hold onto that sun and warmth down there for me. I'm coming down Sunday to Phoenix for father in law's birthday and then three days the next week to Tucson to see my family and go to spring training games. I really hope its nice and sunny for the spring training games. I come down every year for those and it is great when it is warm and sunny after being cold for so long. I shouldn't really complain too much tho, this week has been great for Flag at this time of the year. We've seen 50's and sunny. Just have been too busy at work to get out in it. Hopefully, I will be able to get out there today a little, but I've got some lawyer in North Carolina that is bugging the heck out of me and I might have to go to work this afternoon cause he is such a pain!

LOL! That was a good one! Actually, I think we had a couple of 350 degree days here in TX last year...yeah, it was a dry heat though.

I just ordered a sleeveless jersey...don't know which of you has/had it in your sig line...but I'm supporting my right to bare arms! Just watch them flap in the breeze!

Can't wait for DST change this weekend! That will give me an extra hour of light after work so I can start riding again. It was 65 yesterday so I set out in a SS jersey and shorts after work and was comfortable. But after only 7 miles I had to turn around and head back...sun was getting low and I didn't want to be riding at dusk without any lights.

I'll take my record snow, record cold, potholes, and sand all over the roads over those summers any day. Literally, what I think when I get in my car in the morning (no garage) when its 5 below and there's yet another foot of snow to be cleared off the windshield, is that I'd rather put up with this than deal with a car that's 160 inside and you can't touch any part of the black interior because it will burn you. Yep, 4 years in AZ was 4 too many. On the other hand my parents and in-laws live down there, so its a great place to visit, but only from Nov. - March.

I guess I'm just a hot kinda girl but I LOOOOOVVVVVEEE my heat!! I can deal with my 3-4 months of butt hot (100+ June-Sept) summer days if it means I train outside year round. I just have to go out earlier during the summer months. I grew up in soggy nor cal where it seemed it rained from December thru May. I HATED that.
Oh yeah, and it was 86 here today. YIPPEEE!!!

Well, that's why they keep building and building and building; I guess a lot of people can put up with the 4 months of H***. It makes me sad to see how the valley has been ruined (do I sound old?). I definitely am a New England girl, but I did spend a good deal of my adult life there, my kids are native Zonies, ASU alum etc.
I, too, will be happy to visit my friends in January, but I have come to the conclusion that it's the changeable weather I like, with something new every 2-3 days.
