Two things to check are saddle height and saddle type. I rode with a terry butterfly for years and then had this problem. If the saddle is too high, your crotch is sawed over at every pedal stroke. Was the bike recently adjusted and perhaps returned to the wrong height? Saddles also wear out, break down, etc. I fixed the problem with a brooks finesses saddle. I found I prefer the firm support, but had to be sure to level the nose only which means the rear is higher than the front to avoid urethral pressure. Lastly are you using chamois cream (I like chamois butter, you can order it from TE).
