To get you moving, I suggest House, Electronic and Dance, like DJ Hell, Miss Kittin, Paul Oakenfold and Digweed. Miss Kittin is getting a lot better as she gets older, going from hard, fast, loud techno to musical artpieces that flow quite well without losing that pulselike thump. "Percolator" works well. My favorite on her latest Day and Night cd.

Other music I'd suggest given your selection is Morphine, Tom Waits and Melissa Etheridge.

Along the lines of what you seem to like, I would suggest:

    John Mayer
    Jack Johnson
    Ray LaMontagne
    KT Tunstall
    Gomez
For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.

Use itunes to find artist that you like one or two songs and listen to their album. You may discover some songs that you havent heard from your favorite people. Also iTunes will " if you enjoyed this you may also like some of this..." Check out the soundtracks to your fav. movies and tv shows too. I find new stuff that was alot

I am a freak about the Barenaked Ladies. A FREAK. So lyrical and singable.

I also have all the Austin Powers movies soundtracks on my Ipod and they are GREAT to work-out to.

These are two friends of mine- they sing SO beautifully with incredible harmonies, and they write some of their songs while other things they perform are traditional:

if you click to their cd's there will be links there so you can hear clips of some of their songs for free. You might like them.
