two comments about the ride yesterday.
One; in Lake Forest Park, I got forced off my bike at an intersection by a lady with a dog.
(Lake Forest Park is a lovely little town that hates the bicyclists going through on their trails and streets)

I was in the curb cut and she stopped right in front of me and started screaming and cursing what about me, don't i count even though i'm not a biker?
she literally blocked my bike.. She had a dog on an 8 foot leash on this crowded multiple use trail. She could have used a part of the sidewalk without a curb cut. I was so flabbergasted that there was nothing i could say, but I did stop in time of course.

Later on down the trail were a pair of mallard ducks (I told you it was wet and rainy) the girl duck was in the center of the trail. Just as the guy in front of me approached her, barely missing her, she stuck her neck out in front of his bike tire. We didn't crash, but it was close. She did just fine, on the way
home, she was on the other side of the trail (apparently got tired of teasing bicyclists)

After my interaction with the lady, i feel kind of odd; what could i have done? If i'd had my wits about me i would have told her to wait her turn, to walk across the street with her dog on a tighter leash, to not expect to get the right of way in the curb cuts, and to say "I'm sorry, i should have been further to the right")
