I have been mountain biking twice on a Walmart bike, but today I took my new (to me) Scott on her maiden ride. It was mostly a hiking trail, but DH did take me on some technical stuff. This was my first ride with mountain shoes (the tread is weird to me) and my Crank Bros Candy Pedals. I ended up taking a tumble because I did unclip quick enough.

Other than a couple bruises and a few scratches, I am ok.
I am ready to go out again and work on my skills. By then end of the ride I was fairly confident climbing, but the downhills freak me out!

Good going!! Im the opposite love the downhills but the rocky uphills freak me out. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that uphill is always when I seem to crash.
