    Weigh-in week of Feb.25

Thought I would check-in bright and early before I get my day started.
This morning I weighed 139lbs- woohooo yippeeee That is down 3 lbs but moreover I broke the pyschological ( and physical ) barrier of 140.
I am VERY pleased that the "cleanse " is over. I had always wanted to try one and this being just 5 days seemed reasonable- we ate these high fibre/protein shakes 3 times a day along with certain snacks- for instance 6 almonds I thought that was a joke- 6? only 6!
I did manage to exercise but not at the same intensity level as I didn't think I was getting enough calories to "put out" so to speak. I ended up just eating more of the allowed snacks- definitely more than 6 almonds
    Sunday swim 2000m
    Tuesday Run 45 min
Wed Spin 1 hr - I tried evil troy workout but it was tooo hard this week
Sat Long Slooooow run 2 hrs.

In the end I am glad I lost the 3 lbs but won't be tempted to try a "clease" again- I like to actually have food in my mouth to chew.
Hope everyone else had a good week.

Yay Pika! I totally understand about those "barriers" I remember well trying to get under 140, then under 130. Now I'm trying hard to get under 120.

I'm 122.1 this morning, exactly the same as last Sunday. I find it interesting that I was able to lose 2-3 lbs a week when I first started dieting, but then after the first 20 lbs, it is only coming off in ounces. Oh well, keep trying, at least it's coming off.

I did really well with my strength exercises this week. It's the one area that I have found SO hard to be consistent. I seem to have found a routine that works for me and I can almost always find time to do it. I had a bit of trouble after the first 3 days because I totally overdid it and had to spend a few extra days "recovering" but I think I'm ok now. My shoulder is still tender so I'm finally going to pop in to see my doctor today and find out about my trouble spots. Is it age or can I do something about it? We'll see...

That sounds nasty. Especially the no coffee bit. I'm glad you're getting down there, I know how you've been trying.

I haven't weighed in this week. But on Friday I was a lovely 141 lbs. My official weigh in is on Tues. This is a rest week sooooo, I'm not sure I lose much. Plus I wasn't able to get in any of my long slow distance workouts this weekend.

    No coffee

The no coffee was the worst- I did have the dull headache asociated with the withdrawl from caffeine- and I really only have a latte daily, the headache was gone by wednesday but I was still craving coffee- you know the very first thing I did Saturday morning was get up and make a nice large latte for dh and myself. Funny thing is DH didn't get any withdrawl symptoms at all and he drinks way more coffee than me! weird
We both did feel really good after our long run on Saturday too- way better than the week before and it was a shorter run- not sure if I should contribute that to the caffeine boost or the "cleanse"- I leaning toward the caffeine
