Once again I made my coworkers jealous that they don't have a Secret Sister when I received my package today.

My wonderful Missouri Secret Sister sent me lots of great goodies. Homemade soaps, sponge, lip balm (great for snowboarding this time of year), a yummy smelling candle, and one of my fav energy snacks - Sport Beans.

I end up taking most of my showers at the gym and I'm sick of their harsh generic soap. I think I'll have to make myself feel special by bringing the sponge and one of the bars and leave them in my locker there.

Talking Thank you SS - SJCzar

What a treat to come home to a wonderful box of Wisconsin-themed goodies! Thank you, Sue, for introducing me to your home state in this way. I've never even been close to WI, so I really enjoyed the post cards (especially the skier with the - uh - facial icicles ) and all your notes. The coffees will be brewed and enjoyed on lazy Saturday mornings in my new WI mug. Took me a second to figure out the coaster . Socks, always appreciated. Sorry the Badgers lost to Ohio State . The handcrafted insect (cricket? katydid? firefly?) is lovely and is on the shelf behind me as I type. The crocheted potholder really made me smile. I had a grandmother who crocheted as well. I'll think of you this weekend while I'm baking.

Dinner was late tonight because I was having too much fun unpacking my treats! Thanks again!

Thank YOU, Thank YOU!!! My SS made me a BEAUTIFUL scarf. It is soooooo soft. You know, sudoku is a rave going on at work and I was too embarassed to ask what it was. So, thank you for introducing me to this puzzle. My DH didn't know what it was either, so we shall see if we are any good at it and the pencil was right on...lot's of erasure ahead Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and your handiwork. Is it you PAP103? I searched the "Getting to know you" thread, but didn't see anyone from Goucester. Then, when I opened this tread, there you were

Thank you Kiwi girl for all the wonderful treats! I just ate the cookie after my ride today. Delicious . And I've been needing a replacement patch kit. The socks are very cute and the fuel in a tube is a very cool idea. I'll take the fuel with me next time I go on a long ride. Just popped the cd on. It's really good! I'm always looking for new music and this is now included in my pm3 player playlist! Thank you!!!!

Went to the Post Office today and there it was sitting there from yesterday.
Immediately saw it was from OZ and then sneaked a look at the customs declaration - Tim Tams. Ot with my trusty Swiss Army pocket knife - somebody else was using the collective scissors- and inside the postie envelope I found a beautiful collection of things.
An expensive fluffy towel in a lovely shade of Cab Sav, a red silk-covered embroidered Chinese box with chocs , a red aromatherapy candle and Love-Potion Tim Tams! And a bike-card in a chartreuse envelope!
Everywhere it was written "Your Feb ss" and then I saw in tiny tiny writing her name...
    Thank you Thea V!

I hope something comes soon. I could use the cheering up. I have a lousey cold. And the weather is perfect for ridding but nose has decided running would be more fun!

To my SS from Wisconsin (mtbdarby??)- thank you so much for the cool stuff.

You have no idea how timely the sports beans were. I needed to go for a ride after work tonight (I am doing a nine day tour starting in 10 days and hadn't ridden for a couple of days). Half way home from work I realise that I had been stuck in meetings all afternoon and hadn't eaten an afternoon snack (which I need to do a good evening ride)). I also realised that I don't really have any carbo snacks in the pantry. Then I get home and there it is!! I've read about sports beans here and on a running forum I hang out on, but they aren't easily available here in NZ so I hadn't tried them before.

The wallet is very cool too. When bf and I go for a day long ride I generally grab an ATM card and $20 and throw them in a jersey pocket - but they do get sweaty and I worry about the risk that I will drop something when reaching into the pocket for something else.

The 'smellies' will get good use too - I'll be doing my longest ride for about 15 months on Sunday so a nice long soak in the bath will defintely be called for after that.

    Thank you!!

KG - you're welcome I hope the beans didn't melt in your heat. Trust me, they were frozen when I shipped 'em Enjoy the wallet - I love mine. Another great product recommended by TE.
