I hate to admit it, but when I try to do a snot rocket I usually end up messing up either my hand or my leg.
How do you avoid this?
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

You have to make sure you turn your head to the side slightly (too much and it will land on your shoulder) and you have to blow HARD for it to clear you. Also it helps if you have some speed so your momentum moves you away from it. I hate to admit that I've done this enough to be pretty good at it.
