Two weeks after going to BEAUTIFUL Caloundra, I've signed up for more torture-fun.
The Luke Harrop Memorial triathlon is held on the Gold Coast, Japanese Tourist Mecha and theme park capital of Australia. It's also the base of schollies. However that's an entire school year away currently. ^_^ The beaches are great! the traffic is a nightmare and it's gonna be a great weekend!
I'm leaving work Early on Friday and booking into a resort in the middle of the bike leg. Then I'm gonna spend Saturday shopping and doing girly things since BF is off doing the Grafton to Invarel (?) ride in New South wales (I have no support crew!) then check my bike and running gear into transition that afternoon. THEN I'll watch the elites! They're all doing their thing on Saturday afternoon.
On Sunday I'll wake up at 6:00, walk to the start, hand in my thongs and my hotel keys at the 'lockers' and just head to the start line. YAY
Best part is since the road's closed on SUNDAY for the Tri I'll get an Automatic LATE check out from the hotel so I can just hang round until the end. ^_^
After my LAST place (but not demoralising) at caloundra in the QTS category, I'm going back to the Enticer category.
This time it's 300m swim, 10km ride and 2km run. After Caloundra this will be FUN!!!
That sounds like fun! Enjoy the race.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather, to skid in broadside thoroughly used-up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: WOW WHAT A RIDE!!!!"
enjoy. sounds like a blast.
Living life like there's no tomorrow.
