You wouldn't believe how often that happens on high ticket items like motorcycles, like Emily said people just don't do their homework. Recently I saw a smaller cc sportbike (where the owner had done some custom paint and a little bling) sell for almost $8000...the bike wasn't worth a nickle more than $5000.

update
Well, it sold for $83! It has $65 on the attached tags. I've been paid and already have positive feedback, and I haven't even shipped it yet. Not sure what's going on...but when I ship it today I'm going to include a reimbursement for $25. I'm still making a terrific profit, and I can sleep tonight. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'd NEVER be able to run a business. Guess it's a good thing I'm a teacher.
