I agree with KnottedYet regarding the shorter reach stem change if that's enough to fit you. I would also definitely recommend that you bring the bike in to your local bike shop and make sure it's fitted to you so that you don't end up with knee, back or arm pain, especially on long rides.
Other good, fairly inexpensive newer frames made for women are in the Giant line - ie, Giant OCR3 road bike. It runs about 600.00 - you didn't say what your price range was so it's hard to say.
Also, I agree with Knottedyet's idea about checking with the LBS about a used road bike if a new one is out of range. There are some good bikes to be bought that way - but I wouldn't buy one privately or you may not know if there's something really wrong with it (Your LBS would know).
