And thanks. I am on my own at the pool. I have input from the coaches at the hs where I teach, and I was coached millions of years ago, so I do ok. I am currently swimming between 1500 and 1800 per session. It takes me between 30 and 45 mins if I do drills. Most of my events will be in the 800 to 1000 yard zone, so I will be fine. I just started back in the pool 8 weeks ago, and I am really enjoying it. It is so nonpoundy after all of the mt biking. It feels nice. My goal is to be able to race 1000 open water in under 18 mins by June. I should have no problem. I have not timed it yet, but I am probably there based on my interval times.
And an added bonus, all of my students that are on the swim team treat me like one of the gang now!
