Since you're in windy & hilly wellington I must ask you, have you done any riding around Makara(right place name?) Peak?

Where in Eastern Canada did you go? Sounds like you went to Newfoundland? Nice to see a Kiwi actually recognize that Canada exists beyond T.Dot.!! (Grrr..pet peeve..yes there's more to Canada than just Vancouver or T.Dot. )

Pehaps when we go back to visit family in NZ, we might just make it down you way.

Yup, have done heaps of riding at Makara Peak, as it is one of my faves, and I try and get there as often as I can. Can ride on the road to there in about 40 mins, or over hills and tracks in about 2 hours-ish, either way it works for me.

Yup again, I was indeed talking abut Newfoundland, I was born, and lived, there til the end of high school. I get back whenever I can. A few years back a kiwi friend and I cycled toured across the province on the Trans Canada Trail, always a dream of mine, and one of the best trips ever.

Hope you do make it down this way sometime, heaps of great ridingand getting better all the time.

Aha! Another Canuck living down under!!!!

Newfoundland was awesome!!

Take care & wave to the mud, greenery and awesome biking for me k. I'll bike on the pea gravel & hope the trail i ride on won't be affected by a bush fire any time soon
