I just missed the rain. We got home and the sprinkles started. My ride was very therapeutic for me today. I went to confirm our reservations for our trip to Hawaii next week. Well low and behold they said they were cancelled! Yet my leg from Honalulu to Hilo was still confirmed. Ohhhhhh I was so upset. We have been planning this trip for months now. Anyway no one could blame anyone except I definatly blame them. I have the itenarary they sent me. They fixed everything but it was so frustrating and a few things have changed. So I was all worked up which made me ride my *** off. So I have been relaxed all day since my ride.

Am I the only one who got in a ride today?

I got to ride today after almost three weeks of not riding! Yay. The usual 27-mile trail route, mergansers, coots, cormorants, herons. It was warmish, around 50 degrees, mostly cloudy, sprinkling towards the end. I loved it. I can also report how to be sure early spring is here in the PNW: the first gnats in the face, and the male red-winged blackbirds singing their trilling/multi-stop spring song that always makes me think of shattered crystals. NICE day to be out.

I did 15.22 miles after work. We had beautiful weather- it was 70 degrees and sunny! There was only 1.5 hours until sundown when I got home, which was a shame. I pushed myself pretty hard to make up for the short ride. It felt great!
