I'm having a hard time imagining what the bike seat would be doing while I'm peddaling along nekkid.Other than that I LOVE the idea!!

HA HA HA!!!
I've never tried it, but DH has: we have an 8x10 photo of DH on his mountain bike, wearing only shoes and a helmet. He rode around his college campus, and a friend took a couple of pictures. Campus Security chased him around on foot, yelling "Sir! Sir! Wait! This is unacceptable behavior!"
I love the expressions when guests see the photo for the first time!![]()

Reminds me of what I've been told is the Norwegian military's regulation for how to act when about to fall off a bike: "Shout 3 times "I'm falling! and fall in a controlled manner towards your left." No kidding.
Apart from that I can hardly imagine a sport or activity I'd rather not do naked than riding a bicycle![]()

Yeah, sitting on the bike seat naked kinda gross me out. Wasn't that a Seinfeld episode? One of his girlfriend's likes to walk around naked and it skeeved him out, then she goes at sits on his new bike and he freaks out...
It's only worth it if you're having fun
I have not taken part, but each year on the Summer Solstice there is a naked ride around the Fremont neighborhood here in Seattle. Some folks do opt for body paint...

A few years ago, there was a group of young kids (at least to me, they were young college age) that decided for a lark they would go ride in the buff in mass at night here in rural Arizona. They did, they got caught and were fined for indecent behavior (I think that was the offense). However, one of the boys must have had another similar type offense (not a molestation) and now he is on the sex offenders list. So, he can never work with children, if he moves into a neighborhood, they have to tell the neighbors, etc.
So, beware of cycling in the buff in the United States - it may backfire on you.

My tri club does the Holiday Speedo Run every year... running through the streets of LA in the dead of winter wearing nothing but Santa hats and, well, their Speedos.
I'm not quite sure if they're trying to promote anything worthwhile... or they're just exhibitionists.![]()
Not to mention that I think the Seattle PD is a bit leery of bothering bicyclists after the brouhaha of the Critical Mass...
I did notice that the date for the Buff Day was not mentioned in the article, though.

The Nekkid Ride thing's been going on for years (but it's less outrageous in Europe and California). I remember reading about "Critical Tits" rides - everybody going topless - and that seemed a little more comfortable![]()
I might consider riding in A buff, but never in THE buff ... not even back when I WAS buff. Oddly enough, that was back when I was nude modelling for an art school, but modelling for a class is one thing and riding in public something else entirely ... for me.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
