I think I would die from "skin-hunger" (a term I learned in psych class) if I didn't get loads of hugs a day. My SO is very huggy so that helps quite a bit, my co-workers (all women) tend to hug a lot as well.

I hate being hugged from behind too! At least a lot of the time. It takes away my chance to signal if I want to be hugged or not... and if I'm doing the washing-up or some other chore that I dislike I get VERY antsy if I get hugged so I can't move. Makes me feel trapped.

On the other hand, mostly I love getting hugs, and I wish I were much better at giving them than I am. It gives some weird behaviour - one drink and I start holding and patting peoples shoulders, two and I start hugging all my friends. Which is nice and all, but I'd prefer it would come naturally sober...

I'd like to be like some of my male friends, who are the best huggers ever - big bear hugs that are enormously comforting and friendly, but don't trap you or feel awkward. Funny.

Right, I'm going off to work on my hugging skills

I LOVE hugs, dh is a great hugger. And my neck hair stands up on end whenever I am doing dishes and he walks into the room, because I know I'm usually going to get a hug, and probably kiss on the back of the neck.

I'm not picky - I'll take any kind of hug (especially from my hubby!)
