Woo-hoo--new bike in the fold! Here are your next assignments:
    1. Get some shorts (I'm hoping you already have a helmet).
    2. Go out and ride, with the shorts on.
    3. Get some photos.
    4. Post the photos here.
    5. Repeat number 2 indefinitely.

I didn't think I needed shorts b/c 1. Where I was planning to bike at has great roads, this is what I thought. 2. I wasn' t gonna go very far only 5-6 miles. Needless to say that the great smooth roads feel a lot different on a bike, so the 5-6 miles felt like 10 miles. hehehe

Heres a little bit about myself:
Well I'm 25 years old and live in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. I work at a Engneering company that is well known here in Hawaii. I took up cycling b/c running was becoming to much stress on my legs.

Lets just say that my frame size is on the smaller size, 44 or 45, so finding a bike on this island became a chore. Weeks of looking turn into months but it was great fun and a learning experince.

    Thanks for all being great..

    Congrats on your new bike!!

With regard to shorts.....no matter how long or short your rides are, I guarantee you will enjoy your ride that much more with a pair of bike shorts

    Looking forward to seeing photos.
    HAVE FUN!

I'm headed to Dallas tomorrow to get my first road bike. I'll probably just get measured and get it ordered and pick it up next week.

Decided on the Specialized Dolce Comp.

    SO SO SO excited!!!

    Talking

I'll post some pic tonight. Hawaii is great;although, I never realized how pretty it was until I was strolling around on the bike. I'm thinking about naming my bike either Papi or Mari.
