    Question yet another personal question

I was curious how many of you gals shaved- down there? I have for quite some time and like it, but it seems like it isn't unanimous.

    This should be a faq!

If you hit the "search" button and type in "shaving" you'll find these handy posts.

The thread "saddle sores" is especially enlightening.

Um, this may seem like a stupid question but... Why do you shave? I understand the stuff that sticks out the side of a bathingsuit, but other than that, I don't get it. Someone please explain it to me.

PS I seriously doubt pubic hair in any way affects the comfort on the saddle.

    Why Shave?

    Irulan

Your link gives me lots and lots of reasons NOT to shave. OK you do provide 1 reason - the Man likes it. So I ask to the world in general - why shave it off? Trimming- I get it. But all that itchy stubble and all that work and all those painful ingrown hairs... That I don't understand.

You mis read the thread. The whole point of doing something to enhance one's sexuality and the experience with a partner is that you BOTH like it.

Personally I find that with a little maintenance it's no trouble at all, but as in so many things in life it's a matter of personal choice.

    shave?

    Shave? There? NO WAY!!!

WAX!! Absolutely! (virtually all of it - just a little hitler moustache left...)

No shaving rash, no stubble, very smooth for 2 weeks, light hair for 2 weeks, start all over again. Only down side I've found: the day of and the day after, especially if it's really hot out, stay off the saddle. After that, go for it!!

And, yes, I do it because I feel sexier, and because my Man loves it too.

    Namaste,

    wax?

What do you ladies use to wax?

I shave and I kind of hate it... but depillatories tend to give me UTI's...
    How do you ladies wax?

    Thanks

    waxing instructions

    to wax:

    1. pick up the phone
    2. dial your local aesthetitian (sp?)
    3. show up for your appointment
    4. lay back while she does all the work. breathe through the short-lived pain (it's nowhere near as difficult as a hill-climb....and you LOVE those, right?)
    5. if the shop is busy, make your next appointment for 3-4 weeks later, before you leave

works for me, everytime!! oh, and I go for the gusto: bikini, lower leg and pits. I'm thinking of being brave next time and doing my eyebrows, too

I'd think the bikini area would require more bravery I know what it's like to have that stuff pierced, but the concept of waxing and pulling all those hairs out scares me...

    piercing vs. waxing

    hmmmmmm

well the one piercing hurt like an SOB for about 5 seconds....and, well, it hurts if I leave it in while I ride...

the waxing gets easier over time. The only time it hurt even close to as intensely as the piercing was getting the "soul patch" waxed off the one time.

2 things I've learned: drink lots of water on waxing day and never take ibuprofen on waxing day. it's a blood thinner and can causing bruising!

What sort of pierce do you have? I have a vertical hood that pinched me until I moved up to 8gauge just recently and now except for it pressing on the saddle a little, I barely notice it at all... I can imagine labial piercings really getting aggrivated, though, as well as princess albertinas...

    piercing!

    hahaha
it's not like I know what it's actually called! heehee but it is through the labia and is a ring, whatever you call that. hahahahaha Amazingly, I rarely have it in because all summer I ride so much, but it has never grown over.

    go figure!
    heehee
