ok kiddies,im a dunce when it comes to technology!so.......has anyone ever come across a trouble shooting book re computers etc,or one that gives awesome ingformation re set up etc,that isnt too mumbo jumbo and caters for people who do glaze over when it comes to technology?

well, there's a hundred books called "blank blank for idiots"

but I wouldn't say your sex was to blame for your troubles, I know enough guys who can't figure out a VCR or even a modern oven!

Sigh...and I work in technology and, oh, so very often I have to explain that the presence of the boobs has no bearing on my ability to write software. Sorry, you don't blame them or your other internal organs....

I'm afraid I'm afraid I'm too far removed to recommend a good book, but I do hear the Idiots guides are good. Don't know though....

I'm into technology, so I can't really recommend a book. I do find though searching on google to be a good solution for most problems I find. There are tons of forums to help you out, website with frequently problems, etc. I say, try searching first!

I'm not into technology, studying for a test which would qualify me for the technical jobs in the Telco field.

My eyes are rolling to the back of my head on a daily basis but managed to look through the manuals and index for you.

Nope, no mention anywhere that you need balls for the job or can't have tits.

But keep looking into different books, some are better written than others.

I really like the "Missing Manual" series. Doesn't assume you are an idiot or a dummy, but doesn't assume you already know everything, either.
