    Karen - would a handcycle work for now? My cousin rides gazillions of miles on his handcycle. (and he developed seriously sexy broad muscle-y shoulders) There are lots of different styles and models.

    One-Off http://www.titaniumarts.com/ makes a very cool MTB handcycle. Check out the photogallery of that critter going up hills!

    No, they just think..."Goodness, Karen is odd." My mother still has not recovered from me going to nursing school I think when I got my masters degree she finally caved!!
