You can't compare today's sizing with that of 30 or more years ago. Vanity sizing has completely changed everything. A size 10 of the 60s is about a 6 now.

You're exactly right. Back then there was no need for a size zero or (gasp) double zero! I have to admit to liking the modern sizing better, but they can't keep making sizes larger and larger lest the tiniest women start needing negative sizes!

Luckily, I like my size 10-12-14-16-18's baggy enough that when my weight fluctuates, my clothes still mostly fit.
