Today was my last off day before going back to work, and it was a double workout day due to yesterday's club ride being postponed until this morning b/c of heavy rain. We'd planned to ride around 50 miles, but some low parts of today's route flooded where the river and creeks have overflowed and forced road closings. So instead we rode a shorter out & back route along a ridge road. Gorgeous sunny day, high temps in low 50's with 10-15 mph winds. And tonight our spin group tried the Carmichael Train Right sprint workout - some painful intervals, but the high cadence recovery spinning seems to have helped my legs feel pretty good now. And I did get a 50-mile total for today after all. Starting tomorrow, no more weekday outdoor rides for a while![]()
