Rice is good for stomach stuff, easy to digest and filling. I would do rice and carrots instead of potato, but you know better than us what he would like more. I would also add chicken gizzards for protein.

    Yes, rice is the best.
And oatmeal for breakfast is good for bad stomach too...

Depending on what he likes, some spices are very good for digestion and taste quite nice: fennel, cumin, coriander, black pepper and turmeric. Not being able to eat onions, I actually now use fresh fennel in just about everything, instead of the onions. It's great!

I hope your DH is feeling well soon. I'm sure he will be with you there to care for him!

thank you all. He doesn't like rice, or i would have used it. Next time I will definitely try the fennel.

and oatmeal for breakfast, great idea!
    thanks.

    Ginger

Ginger is my magic weapon in the fight against stomach ailments. I actually get the stomach flu (or whatever you want to call it) quite easily, so I always have to have gingerale (the real stuff) in the fridge. I also eat my-del brand gingersnaps. They are made with "real" stuff.
    Hope he feels better soon!

Ah, yes, I would have mentioned ginger, too, but it is one food I cannot eat....ironically, wreaks havoc on my digestive system and my energy levels!

    Good luck!

just made him ginger tea with honey. And made him take some medicine for it.
We've been married for almost 30 years and this is the first time he's had this problem, it's usually me!
