I just ripped apart my walkin closet apart. Ugh I have too much crap. DH is putting up a new bar. I hate those wire closest systems that builders automatically put up in new houses. You can only drag clothes about a foot because the 'bar' is in segments. Drives me nutso. So we took out the lower shelf system and replaced it with a regular wood dowel. Much simpled. Also bought a bunch of cube-type shelving for one end so my towels etc don't have to sit on the floor in the dog hair. Then I bought a big 3X3 cube shelf for the little guy's closet. Dh is so thrilled that I've found all these jobs for him to do over our two-week break.

What's everyone doing to celebrate tonight? I'm thinking about cooking a rolled turkey breast because we missed out on the leftovers this year. Has anyone done one? Can you make gravy? Might go visit some friends and play cards of something. God I'm getting old if that sounds fun. We have a few nice bottles of wine we've been saving too. And a bottle of late harvest that we bought on our last honeymoon.

Getting off the computer right NOW to make a big pan of baked spiced apples for dessert. We're heading to a friends house where about 10 of us are going to eat REAL homemade Mexican food and play oldtime music until midnight. Cozy!!

    Happy new year. everyone!
