I'm on both myspace and facebook. I use myspace for keeping in touch with old friends (and online friends). I use facebook more for my staff and students (I work at a university). Facebook was originally just for college students, but they've now opened it up so anyone can join.

Myspace layouts
I think there are various online sites, but I used this one. Click on free layouts, then use the drop down menu to find one you like. The code is then in a little box that you copy and paste in to the About Me part of your profile.
