I like that green. Trek420 has a Motobecane with a similar shade of green and it's very pretty.
Awww, Flosshilde the Waterford wants you to be SURE to post pics of your Gunnar so she can say "Hi" to her cousin...

It's nothing that fancy, I found (yes found, and yes my shop ran it through police records, not hot, just abandoned) a 70's-80's French Motobecane Mixte and for the color alone, like metalic green tea I had to keep it.
My LBS is fixing it up. I keep asking Chris "what do you think of..." "it's been decided" so seems they know what I want.

Jeannie - I like the green! Keep us posted. I'm sure we will all be happy to help you with a name for her!

Jeannie - what about green with orange and yellow flames? That way, when you go whizzing by the rest of us, we'll know it's you!

Yeah, I won't be whizzing by anyone!
I'd considered at first some sort of fade, but have re-considered. I loved my Colnago, with all the pretty colors and fades, but I really think I just want the classic look this time. I loved my Wineberry over gold Roadie, so I want to do something similar, just a different color.

Yeah, I bought Flossie from Limewave here on TE. She is such a gorgeous color of deep gold, I can't imagine a color I'd rather have. I contacted Waterford about getting some touch-up paint for her, and they said they don't have that color of gold any more. (They recommended Testor's model paints.)
The Waterford paint is just lovely and rich, so I'm sure whatever color you choose will be beautiful!

Lovely Waterford, Knotted! These fine old steel classics really have character, don't they? I like pink and green together, too, even have a bike with those colors. The 1990 Merckx CE I got off eBay has a Team Weinmann paint job - dark purple and shocking pink with pearl white panels and lime green accents (hence I call her Barbie's Playbike). Fabulous bike. I should post pix after DH gets around to redoing her - currently she's stem- and bar-less.
