Is Burley the only raincoat that is waterproof and yellow?
I hate the yellow of that coat, i'd rather something flourescent, but
    I MUST have waterproof.

    Thanks

I bought the Showers Pass Elite jacket earlier this year. I'd prefer a screaming yellow color, but this jacket only comes in orange. I find it interesting that it has a loop to attach a light to the back, nice.

It is waterproof - and yes, I have used it in heavy rain.

Great jacket! And Showers Pass is a local, small company.

I own the Showers Pass jacket TE sells. I have worn it in 60 degrees and rain, down to 11 degress. I would not ask for a better jacket and was worth every penney. It is the only jasket I wear.

I have had this jacket for years and years and its great. Its really waterproof with the goretex, it has a detachable helmet cover, and pit zips so you don't overheat if it is both hot and wet out. They only have it left it one color and size, but the price is amazing if its what you are looking for.

I have a Nike Stormfit that is great. It's totally waterproof, is screaming yellow, has reflective stuff and a slanted zippered pocket on the back and one that is just a "pass through" to get to your jersey pocket. It has that nice longer tail to keep your booty dry, too.

I have a Mountain Equipment Coop jacket that is also screamin' yellow with reflecties. Very water proof but has to be ordered from MEC in Canada or bought during your next visit to Vancouver.

You might want to check the MEC website in cycling gear..

    I have the Craft Mingo

    http://www.teamestrogen.com/products.asp?pID=17474

I've warn it in damp, drizzle, fog on rides and it's good for that, on walks pouring and I get a bit wet.

It's not water proof but then I don't think I'd ride in weather it can't handle

Things I like about it: screaming loud bright obnoxious color pockets!! light, fits in a jersey pocket

I have a screaming yellow rain jacket from Performance. It has pit zips (velcro) and a hood. It is really waterproof, not that expensive and I have worn it in 50 degrees/rain. I also have a Craft rain jacket. It is really warm, has pit zips, but no hood. I wore it in the rain in Vermont, in the 40s. It is almost too warm, with the Gore-Tex. I also picked up a cheap REI rain jacket last summer. I bought it because it folds up into a pouch. It saved my life on my century, in a micro burst; the temps plummeted from about 75 to 58 or so and the rain was so heavy, we couldn't see. I did not get wet.

I bought a really nice Castelli rain jacket for not much dinero (less than $60 for a $150+ retail price as I recall)from sierratrading.com a couple of years ago. They don't have a lot of bike stuff but get some surprisingly high-end items from time to time at good prices. My jacket's yellow, completely waterproof, and it breathes. I had to buy one for DH in red, though, as they didn't have his size in yellow.

    Mimi,
I laread mentioned my love for this jacket:http://www.teamestrogen.com/products.asp?pID=17125

It is a deeper colour, fits wonderfully, I ran in monsoon rains and stayed dry,

It is very reflective. I light up like a Christmas tree. Oh, there is a hook on the back. The cool bliky light you gave me ( I cannot find another one anywhere-O desperately want to buy more) I velcro that on and off I go running.

The price was steep for my budget, but very worth it. This jacket keeps water out and is not steamy from sweat, ect.
