Okay - I was the surprise!!I did some internet research on coumadin in the morning, and found out that I was actually "safe" to ride yesterday, so DH and I did the Tiburon loop, a 25-ish mile ride that's usually super easy, boring, whatever. Wow. After 6 months off the bike that was HARD!! Everything hurt. My pulmonologist had told me to keep the HR below 160 - that was a real struggle as well. Every time the road went up at all, the HR soared. Oh well.
But... the best part was coming back into town and running into Jo and Lee!! They were headed out of town on their way back from their ride and kindly came across the road to see us. Seriously, adding another 100 meters to the ride to go over to see them might have been too much for me!!
It was great to see them - they did an absolutely wonderful ride that I hope to do with them and some of you next year.
Baby steps for now. I did a shorter version of my ride today and it was enough. It's going to take a while to get back, I can tell.![]()
Congrats on the 4000 miles, Jo!!!![]()
