Last minute gift for biking partner...

Looking for a last minute holiday present for someone you love who loves biking?
My DH just got the first issue today of Bicycle Quarterly magazine, which I got him for Xmas. I think it's a great magazine. He LOVES it!!! (he even took his prize into the bathroom with him, a good sign).
    Here's the homepage:
    http://www.vintagebicyclepress.com/vbqindex.html
(note: it used to be named Vintage Bicycle Quarterly, but they now include current bikes as well)
It's not cheap ($30 for 4 yearly issues). But i just looked through it and it has a lot of wonderful info and all kinds of articles. DH is VERY VERY pleased.
Tip: If you subscribe now online, it's too late to get an issue to actually arrive before Xmas but you could print out a few descriptive pages from their website and roll them up and tie with a ribbon so they have something to "open".

I wish you were my sister. MY OWN sister is a real pain in the assinine. As a matter of fact, I think she has cut me off so I guess (sigh) I don't have to worry about it.
haha i forgot this thing edits my polite language. there. now I RE-edited it.

My sister ordered that magazine for me. And I've got my first issue already. Very cool articles. Even the ads are cool.

Not exactly. VBQ had reviews of current bikes all along, Jan Heine just recently changed the name of the magazine to reflect that fact.

    Makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.

And Mimi, we can be "cyber sisters" if you want! My brother "cut me off" too for a year, wouldn't speak to me at all because I refused to do something he demanded that I didn't agree with. It was very upsetting. We can't relate too well anymore, but at least we are on speaking terms again. Your sister must need some "space". Try to remain serene and bob along smoothly on the surface of the rough waves, like a seagull in the water...
