Fellow Woolweenies,
I have become addicted to wearing my merino Ibex sale Approach tights.
At first I wore them only once every few days, over my chamois tights for cycling to keep extra warm.
Then I noticed they felt really good on my bare legs, so I started wearing them around the house when I wasn't cycling.
Now I'm wearing them every day- over my tights when biking, and just by themselves every day, everywhere I go. They are somewhat thick wool and they fit me like ski/pant/tights - snug, but not too tight or revealing to wear in public. I walk up and down the aisles at the supermarket, and no one I pass by suspects that I'm getting a wooly leg massage right there in the cereal aisle.
They feel so good.
I know I can confess here....you'll all understand and won't think less of me.
Sometimes I arrange my day so I can wear them more.
Sometimes I put them on before I get dressed.
I tend to associate with friends who also wear a lot of wool, and avoid those who wear acryllic.
Sometimes I can't remember that I'm wearing them.
I've been late for work because of endlessly picking cat hairs off my Ibex wool tights. (good thing I'm self-employed)
I keep an extra bottle of Woolite hidden down in the laundry room.
I swear, though, I can stop wearing them any time!

Are the Approach better than the Loose Tights??
Yesterday, since I didn't want to stay in the office (finished up my last appt before the holiday) I decided to go to Goodwill. Got a men's merino sweater, kinda brown/burgundy 3 button with a collar for $6.
I love my little treasure hunts.

But what exactly is "Dri-release wool"? Is it 100% wool, or a blend? Sounds sort of like a fabric blend brand name. and what is "FreshGuard odor neutralizer" and why would a pure wool top need that? Sounds a bit suspicious to me, but then I've got a measure of skepticism in me naturally...

I like them because they are thick enough and not so tight (like Lycra) --so that they don't show EVERY little body detail and nook and cranny like my Lycra/Spandex tights do, and like my UnderArmour tights do. (keep in mind I might be a bit more brave about this than some women) But they are still shapely, being "tights". I feel sort of like I'm wearing ski pants in them, but without the weird back-of-knee-tent ski-pant thing going on.
My friend has the Ibex Loose Tights and they look great on her and I love the thick wool with the nice drap they have. They are great casual wool pants. But the Loose Tights are shaped more like straight pants at the bottom.
I like my Approach tights also because they are snug around the ankle (like tights) so I can tuck them in to my mukluk/shearling boots without them bunching the way pants do.
In general I'd say if you feel selfconscious in biking knickers then you might want to get the Loose Tights rather than the Approach tights. Now they only have the Approach sale tights left in L and XL. The Loose Tights are not on sale but have a full color and size selection available. I like that Tar color!

Is it wrong to consider buying a cedar chest exclusively for the purpose of storing all of my woolly items?
