Silver, so glad you are back in the saddle.
Mr. Silver, what year is that? I used to have a white 450sl, think a 78. They are the coolest cars. but only the older ones. the newer ones don't look near as good.

I can answer that....(Mrs. speaking) it's a 1969 280SL It's lovely but unfortunately in the shop right now.
Yes, it is a '69. Yes, it's been in the shop for 10 weeks for "annual winter repairs"...but she may be home before Christmas after I ransom her from the mechanic.
Here's the sad part...it qualifies for "ANTIQUE Car Insurance"![]()

Frends know gud humors when dey is hear it. ~ Da Crockydiles of ZZE.
We have a yellow 1975 220 d diesel. Hubby found it down the road a few years back and found the owner.offered him less than $1000 for it, brought it home on a flatbed, went through everything(it had a brand new engine-also a 4 speed stickshift) and now he drives it to work everyday and gets the best gas mileage of all the cars. It was a good find. The older ones are the best, they have personality. That red one is gorgeous![]()
