Hi out there. I wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I've been searching the web for info about ACL injury and found this board. I've never thought about joining a board before, but after reading through some posts, I'm happy I did. I just want to say thanks to everyone for the support you offer here.

Thanks everyone. I havent been much of an active person lately and want to get into a bike riding routine to keep in shape and retain stamina. As far as the ACL injury a few of my athletic friends have suffered from this condition and shamefully I wish I new more about this condition and how a person can recover. So I'm trying to do a bit of research.
I found this site called realhealth.tv which has a great video. Even though I am a new member, I think everyone here would really like watching this film b/c it was really nice hearing and watching someone talk about their difficulties and how they cope. I wanted to share this with everyone here, hoping It would help you guys too. Here’s the link http://www.realhealth.tv/site.html?goto=9&vid=9&vo=0
Keep strong everyone!
I've had ACL reconstruction twice on the same knee (2 yrs apart). You or your friends will find the bike is your friend when it comes to rehab. But, I didn't end up being a cyclist until this past year, 5+ years later and for a reason nothing to do with ACLs....
Let me know if you have a specific question.

I had my ACL replaced in April of this year as well. Biking was a huge part of my recovery process. Good luck and if you have any questions feel free to ask~ lots of helpful women around here!![]()
