Trek made a very cute (though nervous) aikido teacher. Flinging students left and right, looking and sounding fierce in her black skirty-thing. (Hakama http://www.bujindesign.com/index.php?cPath=29 ) I was impressed. And she can hold plank position on ONE foot and the EDGES of her HANDS forever... WHILE TALKING THE WHOLE TIME!!!

I head back north tomorrow at dark:30 a.m. from the airport. Bummer. Leaving Trek with a freezer stocked with posole, and the crock pot ready to plug in as we leave for the airport. She'll have hot chicken stew when she gets home from work tomorrow night. I can't be here, but maybe I can feed her anyway?

    It's been a fabulous week.

Any Seattle TE'rs wanna do a ride in February when she comes to visit us? (Log Boom to Red Hook? She'll be on a borrowed bike, so a shortish ride might be best.)

well, of course, if it isn't raining cats and dogs or 22 degrees or a gale force wind, i might be up for it!

My daffodils were still coming up when I left last week, so I have high hopes for a "February Spring." However, if it's cold gale force rain, we won't be up for riding, either!

Hmmmm, under those conditions I'm thinking hot cocoa on the couch in front of the fireplace...

Hey, I've been busily resisting making a suggestion of a Trek visit/ride, just so as not to jinx the visit possibility. Now that we know she's coming, YES, a Red Hook lunch ride! Of course.

Honey, I bet your house is still there and okay.

Kitsune, I've been hoping you would post musically inclined thoughts. I am looking for new pod suggestions, particularly songs for working out... and I think from your prior posts we have somewhat similar tastes.

And to be fair, I will share a few songs that I've been listening to a lot, if you are interested...

Look who finally decided to peek out... this is from my bigger Bird of Paradise plant. The other two are too small to bloom yet. Just in time for Christmas.

What kind of snake? Hey, is that snake going to be living in your house, or is this son in his own place?

Yikes Mimi, I hadn't thought of myself as a grandmother to my daughter's Gecko....

    Umm, congratulations! I think

X - beautiful plant / flower! I can only grow things that do not require regular care. Silk plants do ok at my house. Until they get too dusty that is...
