I use Speedplay X/2s with Lake or Sidi road shoes on my go-fast bike, but when I had my Bike Friday (road bike) built for touring and casual in-town rides, I decided to try Eggbeater Candy SLs. Love 'em! I got mountain shoes and also had to shave down the soles and use the shims to clip in, but now that they're dialed in, I am very happy. It's very nice to have recessed cleats in touring or going shopping on my bike situations.
