I was about to get upset...
Was he riding? How's his hip?

... he DOES have really large hands.

Floyd wasn't riding today, but he said his hip was just fine. I didn't want to bug him too much since he was just hanging out with his buddies.
David Zabriskie was going to attempt a world record for track/one hour, but he said they ran into 'technical difficulties'. He's such a cutie, even if his hair was sprouting out in every direction. That's not very aero, is it?

Ok, I have to add my own "Oooh, you're so lucky, I'm so jealous!!" to this list. Floyd and DZ are definitely my favorite pro riders, as much for their personalities as for their riding ability. Did you see much goofiness? How was the racing? Ya gotta tell us more!
Excellent photos, by the way, Bluetree. Have you gotten them framed yet??

LOOK AT YOU! i'm SO jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you GO, GURL!
It was fun. Floyd seemed like a very warm, friendly guy. David seemed a bit shy, but he's like that in all the interviews I've seen.
DZ is one of my faves. On a bike, that man is perfection... watching him in a time trial is like watching living art. (In horse terms, we'd call him a 'beautiful mover')
I did forget to ask him one thing -- as always seems the case![]()
I wanted him to send a message back to the Cervelo guys... make smaller bikes! Honestly, I'd love to buy a Cervelo tri bike, but the standover/bike wedgie thing makes it a no-go. Hey Cervelo... not everyone is 6 feet tall! ** sigh **
(In the picture, the reason I'm standing behind DZ is because he had to bend his knees quite a bit to get his face near mine. Floyd is not a tall guy, but I was wearing boots with a 3-inch wedge heel!)
I'm not much for jealousy in life...but this time...You got to meet DaveZ! You lucky duck! I just adore the guy (hence the avatar!)...what a racer! Not to mention that you also got to meet Floyd...that would be a day to write down in my books!
