Bad Juju-
Ibex Agate T is very light weight, but not see-through.

I've worn it by itself and as an underlayer.
Smartwool seems to be pretty lightweight. I only have one Smartwool shirt, but I have to say <drops into a whisper> I think the quality on the Ibex shirts is a bit better than Smartwool shirt I have. The tailoring is certainly better fitting, the stitching is much cleaner, and the fabric feels smoother.
Check the Ibex Outlet page often, they put new stuff/new colors on it frequently. I think I've gotten almost all my Ibex from the Outlet page.

What was most interesting was that it was on a military gear site
My mind is still boggling .....
[don't ask...!]
And we thought TE girls/women/personnes were Real Tough!
All you need is love...la-dee-da-dee-da...all you need is love!
I went to Value village up in the "good" Neighborhood, Lake city..
I bought a NICE pair of charcoal wool slacks with liner and
a fine but dense (shrunk once) v neck sweater which will be a perfect undergarment. I was thinking about the question "how will i know it is wool
if it doesn't have a label" while I went through all their stuff.
the things that are very very soft are NOT wool unless they have a really hairy appearance, and then they are angora (goat), rabbit (angora), or mohair.(goat)
or they are blended with a synthetic.
Wool even soft wool (like Merino) is going to be a tiny bit scratchy..
CASHMERE... is goat hair! (I just learned something. So wool lovers you can love sheep AND goats I do
ps it's better to go wool shopping at second hand stores in the summer.
I think I've made a new wool discovery, or new to me. I ordered a wool blend long sleeved T from steep & cheap and it came in today. The brand name is Sport Science and it feels very nice. It's a wool blended with a technical polyester.
Here's the site: http://www.smarterperformance.com/home.php
& click on the performance wool. They have some cute Ts too.
I ordered two of those $60 Approach tights on sale from Ibex- for my older daughter and her partner for Xmas. I'll check them out when they get to me here. Got a Large and a Med.

Well those Ibex Approach sale tights got here and they are AWESOME!
So nice and thick and stretchy- I love the way they feel against my bare skin- they have a very pleasant soft subtle nubbly texture, like a gentle massage while wearing them. I HAD to order a pair for myself as well. Interestingly, although the mediums do fit me well (snug, like you expect tights to fit), I like the slightly more relaxed feeling of the large, so I am getting a large for myself. They are very luxurious! I can actually wear them around to places when not biking, because they are not as revealing as thin tight lycra tights. I can't even imagine why they would be on sale in the first place!

Where do they sit between the hips and waist?
I read somewhere that the waist was quite high and I just can't handle anything close to my bellybutton...![]()
Well, we are all shaped diferently, but...
It's not a "low-rise" or hip hugger type waist. I would call it a "normal" waist height, not "quite high"- but I guess terminology may have changed. The waist on the tights seems to fall right at my belly button- which is about an inch below my natural waist. (my natural waist being the narrowest part of my waist). I myself like both lowrise and regular waists in clothes.
Got a piercing, or just a sensitive belly button?![]()

You girls are a bad influence. After lurking in this post, I ended up clicking the Ibex link that Knotted provided and getting a couple shirts (who can pass up such good deals! haha). This year, I had already added to my wool collection, as REI outlet had some Ibex and Smartwool tops on sale.
I just bought myself an Icebreaker Tech Bodyfit Top at www.ems.com. It is on sale for $45, but if you go through the checkout process and apply coupon code FF25, you get 25% off and the total is $33.75. In fact the 25% off code applies to ANYTHING at EMS till Dec 11. There are some other Icebreaker and Smartwool items there. Good luck!
Hehe thanks for the info Lisa!
Nothing special on the button, just like to have my pants rest on my upper hips. My tummy doesn't like to be enclosed in elastics. I can't even enjoy dear partner's arm around my waist when I sleep, he has to rest his arm on my hip bone otherwise I feel like I'm squeezed![]()
I think the tights are out for me.That's probably good, because I don't need tights.
So lovely to see you all supporting NZ's economy.
I was adding up the number of woolley items I possess, but when I'd exceeded twenty before starting in on hats and socks and scarves and gloves, I thought maybe it would be better if I just stopped counting.![]()
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.
And also you didn't have to count the items you were actually wearing!
Btw, "gloves" and "socks" count as 1 not 2.
All you need is love...la-dee-da-dee-da...all you need is love!
check it out, fellow woolweenies!

One of the wool bags even comes with a full reflective center panel!
