Glad you had a good ride. I know how much you need to get back on that bike, but you don't want a relapse.
Take it easy, Lisa!
P.S. When colds give you snot... practice snot rockets!

I was supposed to go out for a ride this morning, so at 6:30 I suited up, opened the garage door, peered outside, saw the sheets of rain and the tree limbs swaying in the wind, shut the garage door, and went back inside for another cup of coffee.
Dedication is clearly not my strong suit.![]()

Im getting to go ride about 11 miles in the dark. I cant ride in the morning ,so my only option is to ride at night. Its about 45 ,and no winds..just a peaceful night.
I got to try out my new lighting system. A little fine tuning, and it's a lot better than my old. did some exploring to give a good test over unfamilar roads, and I went down the hill to home, and work.
It tried to drizzle on me in the morning, and I *almost* got between the showers in the afternoon. If I'd left when I said I would instead of reading one more thread on Bikejournal, I'd have made it to my door before the downpour![]()

My rear lights are giving me issues... there seems to be a curse on them. They break or fall off or the sproingers connected to the batteries get ftummmeled...
Jobob- It was raining up our way too! I would have stayed home too!![]()

Fortunately, I had the day off, so when Sarah got to my place, we decided to go out, rain or shine. She's going to visit her parents, then a week in Yosemite over Christmas (poor thing) so it meant ride yesterday OR no riding for almost 3 weeks!!!!
By the time we left our place it was about 2:20PM. We had lots of fog to navigate through and some drizzle as we headed north (over to Fairfield), but I figured we could slog our way through the mess, car traffic and all!
41.43 miles later and about 6:00, we made it back to Benicia. It turned out to be a really nice ride with one exception.... we were covered with muddy splatter from the wet roads and the traffic as were our bikes! We spent about 1/2 hour cleaning the bikes so at least they were halfway respectable (including getting stuff out of my tires). That's really one of my big complaints about rain- my bike when I get back from a ride!!!!![]()

Sometimes around here, if you wait long enough, you MIGHT have a chance to ride!
