Veronica: How about cleaning the cache of your web browser? In Internet Explorer (I have IE 7), this should be under Tools > Internet Options > "Browsing history". And in Firefox (version 2), it would be under Tools > Clear Private Data. My guess is that you must have a picture of the Legolas with the same name as the picture for Velogirl's avatar... (you could also try a second web browser to see if this is true, unless you set the folder for temporary items to be the same).

What I don't understand is how the photo could have gotten there in the first place. I don't think I've ever posted that one to TE and I KNOW I have never resized it to be avatar size.
It makes a cool avatar though.

My best guess is that it is due to your post about the pictures (or browsing the site where you uploaded them) and the fact that the avatar pictures are "sized" in the forum. If you view the source code for a forum page, avatar pictures are displayed with specific heights and widths ("width="52" height="100").
