That's thing about goals - sometimes they make you do things you're not so thrilled about doing.

I'll probably do a couple of circuits of the Alameda Creek Trail & Coyote Hills, unless it's thundershowering.

You need about 50 miles tomorrow, right? You can do it! Riding in the rain isn't so bad if you have a warm place to end up. And it could be worse... you could be pulling a trailer!
Neither of my bikes currently have fenders, so I'll end up soaked. It's too late to try to get them onto Fluffy tonight. And I'm holding out for carbon fiber ones for Honu. It's not like there will be paceline on the mountain tomorrow.

Each circuit is about 28 miles, so yep, that's the plan![]()

Aw, thanks love. At least it didn't rain much.![]()
I only managed 42 miles today, it was so freakin' windy out ! On the second time out to the bay and thru Coyote Hills my lower back was starting to tighten up, and there were stretches where I was struggling to go 10 mph in the head & side winds. Gah, I need to get stronger.
I'm glad I stopped when I did though, I was pretty whupped. So, I live to ride another day.
Seymour was hanging out in his usual mid-to-late morning spot. He was hard to miss, he was pretty much the only bird out in the water. All the egrets were hanging out along the slope of the hill next to the cove, out of the wind. I'm beginning to think Seymour is a bit daft - not unlike me.![]()

Isn't that lower back thing nasty! Everytime I look at my last picture from DMD I get this urge to do some ab work or some pushups.![]()

Yay, Jobob!!! You go, girl!
Hopefully the weather will cooperate. I tried to do my part by not switching my mountain bike tires. After all, if I switched them to slicks, that would practically guarantee a torrential downpour. I haven't washed my cars either. So all in all, we have a shot at nice weather today.
Veronica, did you end up riding up (and down) Mt. Diablo today?![]()

Couldn't be my cold. I already shipped it off to pkq in Ohio. Someone else is the culprit and not fessing up.
I've had a friggin' sore throat for a week.
